Camp Mom
The most exclusive camp around
Julie here- I have been in the throws of running Camp Mom. Being a teacher has its perks, but the one thing I don’t always prepare myself for is how many activities I have to plan each day to keep my kids happy and busy. I had grand plans of redecorating/painting a bathroom, reorganizing and donating all of our old toys, going through closets/the pantry, and taking naps in the sun. What am I actually doing? Creating lasting memories with my boys (i.e. being a snack bitch, sunscreen obsessor, hat carrier, toy rememberer, lifeguard, personal chef, and smell identifier). But don’t worry, with every free minute I’m still scouring the internet for deals and steals.
I have never owned a label maker, but with one kid entering 1st grade, one entering Pre-K, and multiple sports/activities, I think it’s time. This label maker drops to only $12! Clip the coupon and use Code: RLCE249Z. Am I going to go crazy labeling everything this summer? Probably yes.
Vineyard Vines has always been a stronghold in our family- but the prices are hard to justify with boys who love to get dirty and grow so fast. They luckily have great sales, and right now if you bundle 3 or more sale items, you get 50% off your order. This kid’s rashguard comes in lots of sizes and colors and helps prevent the dreaded arm sunburn. We wear them to the beach, the splash pad, or even just playing outside at our house with the hose. Pair it with this boys hat (more sun protection!) and this adorable Ahoy sweater for chilly summer nights (or family photos!) and you get 50% off your full order using code MORE24.
Athleta is running an amazing promo through their app. You get 30% (high percentage discount for Athleta!!) off the Transcend line, plus others. This built-in bra tank is a staple for me in the summer- I don’t use it to workout (oops) but I love it for everyday wear. They do have a cropped version, but I like where the tank hits (at the hip) and that I can wear it out as a top. This Pranayama Restore Wrap is quite possibly my favorite and most worn clothing item. I leave one in my classroom to have it on hand to wear at school when I’m chilly. I have it in 3 colors and wear it all the time. I am probably grabbing another color today because 30% off of this item doesn’t come around often. Make sure you purchase through the app to get the 30% off.
Finally, Camp Mom takes a twice-weekly field trip to Target to give the boys “community and culture engagement” 😏 We recently spent the day at the beach, and my 6 year old got the dreaded “sand and salt” thigh chafing. Brutal. We have switched exclusively to these Target Art Class brand of swim bottoms because of their built-in boxer brief shorts- no mesh lining here. They really help at preventing the chafing (and reminding him not to pee in the ocean without rinsing…boys) and are a great price point… Target swim is 20% off right now! I like bright colors and I still make the boys match. We buy lots of different rash guards from different brands, but the Target rash guards are also 20% off and have a little extra neck protection without making them feel claustrophobic.
While I was there, I grabbed my favorite mascara (tubing mascara never smudges, even in hot weather or when you are sobbing over a TikTok about someone’s southern grandpa who rescued an elderly dog), my favorite dip (eat it with pita!!) that I always have on hand for surprise guests, and splurged on another Owala water bottle for Camp Mom. Is anyone else #teamowala and not #teamstanley? IYKYK.
We’re bringing Camp Mom to Camp Papa for some beach time, hot dogs, cold drinks, and fireworks. My new summer drink is a very chilly Sun Cruiser iced tea vodka on ice and I plan to crack a few this week. I hope you all enjoy the long (hopefully extra long- take Friday off!) weekend celebrating 🇺🇸

Team Owala forever!
I forgot about iced tea vodka. New summer drink unlocked here too, I guess!
